About Melissa

Melissa has been dolling up ladies and dappering gents professionally since 1999. Growing up in Southern California, her glamour career started behind the makeup and wig counter at her family-owned costume shop, Would You Believe?. You could also find Melissa backstage at theater productions -- running the makeup, wig, and costume department -- during her years at Pasadena High School. Melissa was an active member of the South Pasadena Masonic family (PHQ, MM, and Grand Bethel Officer of Job's Daughters), Holy Family Church, and volunteered at the South Pasadena Convalescent Home as a companion.

Since graduating Pasadena City College Department of Cosmetology in 2002, Melissa has worked extensively on set for TV commercials, infomercials, films, and photo campaigns.

Melissa had pleasure of being a hairstylist in Los Feliz for over 16 years. She had the joy of working at the Dollhouse Salon for three years, which lead to hair & makeup opportunities at popular music festivals like Coachella and Vegoose. Through the Dollhouse, Melissa was also introduced to the Los Angeles Derby Dolls, where she was a proud makeup room sponsor (aka part of the "Glam Squad") from 2006-2012.

Onset hair and makeup credits include - Gunthy Renker | Sheer Cover & Natural Advantage by Jane Seymore. MELT Cosmetics, VIXEN by Micheline Pitt (subset licensing projects with Paramount Pictures & 20th Century Fox), La Femme En Nior, Unique Vintage, Besame Cosmetics, Steady Clothing.

Melissa has a chair currently at Salon 66 in Glendora, CA
